The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have are not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just don’t cut it anymore, then don't worry, Medfield Patch is here to assist you! 2. 

Where/When: 23 Patriot Pl, Foxborough, (Showcase Live); Friday, July 8, 8 p.m.

Why Go: This concert is the rescheduled show from Jan. 27. Doors open at 6 p.m. for 8 p.m. show time. Limited seating available and is first come first seated basis, so be sure to arrive early for best seats and enjoy a full dinner menu.

Where/When: , 468 Main St., Medfield; Saturday, July 9, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Stock up on your summer reading at bargain prices! Visit the special clearance book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Medfield Library. The sale will offer adult fiction, including mysteries, sci-fi and romance; paperbacks (4 pocket paperpacks for $1) and hardcovers (2 for $1). Also available (at half-off the sticker price): the library’s better books, i.e., bestsellers and current fiction.  

Pricing: Free admission and open to all.

When/Where: , 56 Dedham St., Dover; Friday, July 8, noon to 4 p.m.

5. 

Where/When: 795 Providence Hwy, Dedham; Saturday, July 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Step out of the city and into the cattle ranch at Shaw's family day at the Stockman & Dakota corral.

A fun-filled, ranch-themed experience: Kids can test their skills with Games of the Wild West and parents can enter to win a family trip to a Dude Ranch. 

Attendees will sample Stockman & Dakota products straight from the grill, take home recipes, and learn tips from beef and grilling experts.

Local media personalities will grill-up Stockman & Dakota steaks using their own special recipes. Visitors will be able to sample and vote for their favorite celebrity-prepared steak.

The winning grill-master, as determined by visitors’ votes, will receive a $5,000 donation to their charity of choice and bragging rights in the showdown. The second- and third-place celebrities will receive a $2,500 donation each to their charity of choice.
