Weekend Planner: Aug. 12-14

Eric Johnson concert, a farm stand and a 300-minute motorcycle ride are on the calendar this weekend.

The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have are not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just don’t cut it anymore, then don't worry, Medfield Patch is here to assist you! 1. Eric Johnson at Showcase Live

Where/When: 23 Patriot Pl, Foxborough (Showcase Live); Friday, Aug. 12, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Highly respected and renowned guitarist, Eric Johnson, will perform at Showcase Live with special guests Moreland and Arbuckle.  Doors open at 6 p.m. for 7:30 p.m. showtime. Limited seating available. Seating is first come, first seated basis, so be sure to arrive early for best seats and enjoy a full dinner menu. (Seats not guaranteed).

2.  Powisset Farm Stand at Rocky Woods Reservation in Medfield

When/Where: , 50 Hartford St, Medfield; Weekly on Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: Powisset Farm is a Community Supported Agriculture Farm (CSA) in Dover. Check out the weekend farm stand at Rocky Woods Reservation on Hartford Street in Medfield. Farm fresh vegetables are available for purchase along with a chance to meet your local farmers! Learn about local and seasonal eating and explore community connections. 

Pricing: No entry fee.

3.  Dover Library Friday Flicks for Teens Greece: ‘Mamma Mia!’ and ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2’

Where/When: , 56 Dedham St, Dover; Friday, Aug. 12, noon to 4 p.m.

Why Go: As part of the Dover Town Library Teen Summer Reading 2011 Program, there will be two free Friday Flicks featuring the country of Greece:

"Momma MIA" Rated PG-13 synopsis: The story of a bride-to-be trying to find her real father told using hit songs by the popular '70s group ABBA.

" Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" Rated PG-13.

4. Bounce House Fun at Patriot Place

Where/When: , 2 Patriot Pl, Foxborough; Weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, noon to 3 p.m.

Why Go: As part of Patriots Place Summer Sensation, children are invited to jump around all afternoon in Patriot Place’s inflatable bounce houses, located in the North Marketplace outside of Tastings Wine Bar and Bistro. Enjoy great views of Gillette Stadium as the kids bounce the day away. Dates and Times for this activity is subject to change. Bounce Houses are weather permitting.

5. 300-Minute Ride

Where/When: , 754 Greendale Ave, Needham; Saturday, Aug. 13, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Join other local motorcyclists in a 300-minute ride to New Hampshire and back. The group will depart from the parking lot at 754 Greendale Ave. in Needham at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 and will travel to Westmoreland, N.H. and back, stopping for stretch breaks, lunch and ice cream along the way.
