Weekend Activities Around The Area: March 4-6

Fundraisers, concerts and a craft show on the calendar this weekend.

The weekend is just around the corner and the only plans you have are not to stay at home because lounging on the couch watching TV just isn't cutting it anymore. Don't worry, Medfield Patch is here to assist you in making your weekend plans by providing you with our picks for fun activities to enjoy that's within driving distance of home. 

1.

Where/When:  , 26 North St., Medfield; Saturday, March 5, 7 p.m.
Why Go: This annual event allows members, friends and supporters in the local community to gather and raise money for the continuing work of the Church and to maintain the historic meetinghouse. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit food pantries in Medfield, Walpole, Millis, Norfolk, and Medway. The auction will feature an evening of music performed by the award winning Medfield High Jazz Band Combo, food, wine and silent and live auctions.  Among the items up for auction include; six sets of four Red Sox tickets, a time share in Puerto Rico, homemade dinner for six, a Boston weekend getaway, cases of wine, and a football signed by Patriots player Vince Wilfolk.
Pricing: $20 per ticket.

Where/When: 45 Hartford St., Medfield, Saturday, March 5, 10am - 2pm.
Why Go: Celebrate the final days of winter by getting out of the house and onto the trail with family, friends, and neighbors. Choose from a variety of activities during the day, from toasting marshmallows and sipping hot cocoa round a roaring bonfire to collecting natural materials and creating a craft to brighten your home.
Pricing: Members: Adult $2. Nonmembers: Adult $6. All children 12 and under are free.

 Where/When: , 456 Main St, Medfield; Saturday, March 5 at 8 p.m.
Why Go: The Zullo Gallery Center For The Arts Presents: Teddy Larkin & Rick Dillon: A Rocking Folk Reunion for the Good Folks of Medfield. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Pricing: $8 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Where/When:, 496 Main St, Medfield, Sunday, March 6, 4 to 5 p.m.
Why Go: The UCC Medfield Praise Team will perform a free concert in the Great Room of the church. The hour-long program will include contemporary praise worship songs, as well as “secular” songs with a Christian theme from the rock, R&B and country music genres. n conjunction with the concert, the UCC Medfield Missions Team will be hosting a stem cell drive conducted by Dana Farber. 

Pricing: Free. 

5.

Where/When: 108 Robbins Rd, Walpole; Saturday, March 5 at 10am - 3pm.
Why Go: Local crafters and vendors with lovely spring crafts will be on display at the craft show. Jewelry, candles, handbags, doll clothes, paper crafts, artwork and more are all available for purchase. There will also be free door prize drawings. 
Pricing: Adults $1; Seniors $.50; Kids free
