The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have are not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just doesn't cut it anymore, then don't worry, Medfield Patch is here to assist you! Check out our list of suggestions of events to attend, places to go, sites to see – all within driving distance of home. 

1. Earth Day Plant Activity at Library

Where/When: , 468 Main St, Medfield; Friday, April 22, 3 to 4 p.m.

Why Go: As part of April Vacation Week, the library invites children (ages 6 - 10) to Stop by the activity room to decorate a flower pot and plant a seedling to take home and start your garden.

2. Joshua Tree - A Tribute to U2 at Showcase Live

Where/When:  Showcase Live, 23 Patriot Pl, Foxborough; Friday, 10 p.m.

Why Go: The Nation’s premier tribute to U2, The Joshua Tree will be performing Friday. Limited seating available.  Seating is first come first seated basis, so be sure to arrive early for best seats and enjoy a full dinner menu. (Seats Not Guaranteed) Plenty of free parking, free door prize tickets with your admission, and lunch available in the pub too.

Where/When: , Cedar St & Tower St, Dedham; Friday, April 22, 11a.m. to 12 p.m.

Why Go: Be ready to search high and low, in the wide open field and in the nooks and crannies of the playground to find the objects on your list. Bring a bag or sand pail to hold your found treasures. We will have lists available for non-readers. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch for your family to enjoy after the hunt. No registration required.

Why Go: Come one come all to the Blue Bunny’s traditional Easter celebration with surprise Easter eggs, raffle and lots of basket goodies.

5. Rhythm of Nature: Explosion of Rebirth

Where/When: 293 Moose Hill St, Sharon; Daily, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Wildlife Gallery is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibit featuring the art work of Heather Adels, Theresa Craddock, Rebecca Skinner and Jean Smith. The spontaneous flow and movements of nature govern and orchestrate the life cycles of the world. Being part of this essential interaction, we experience an explosion of rebirth in nature. Spring is inescapable. This exhibit presents an opportunity to view the work of four remarkable artists using watercolor, acrylic, linocut and photography creating a myriad of color and textures that express the dramatic rhythms of nature.
