Concerts, more concerts and a fundraiser dinner on the calendar this weekend.

The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have are not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just doesn't cut it anymore, then don't worry, Medfield Patch is here to assist you! Check out our list of suggestions of events to attend, places to go, sites to see – all within driving distance of home. 

1. Rick Fetters to Perform at Medfield's North Street Coffeehouse

Where/When:   , 26 North St, Medfield; Saturday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: The North Street Coffeehouse invites you to an evening of open mic and a featured performance by Rick Fetters. Open mic begins at 7 p.m., and the feature goes on at around 9:30 until 10 p.m. Music of any genre, poetry, prose, or comedy are all welcome.

Pricing: Admission is $10 or $5 for open mikers.

Where/When: , 468 Main St, Medfield; Sunday, 3 to 4 p.m.

Why Go: 
Enjoy a free concert full of Irish music with light refreshments. 

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: , 496 Main St, Medfield; Sunday, 4 p.m.

Why Go: The award winning New England Brass Band, New England's premier brass band "In the British Tradition," will hold a free concert at the at the United Church of Christ. 

Pricing: Free. Donations will be accepted in support of the concert series.

Where/When: 23 Patriot Pl, Foxborough; Sunday; 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Legendary Rock Band, Jefferson Starship, will be performing at Showcase Live as part of their 40th Anniversary Tour. Doors open at 6 p.m. for 7:30 p.m. Showtime. Seating is first come first seated basis, so be sure to arrive early for best seats and enjoy a full dinner menu.

Why Go: 
The Neponset Valley Sunrise (NVS) Rotary Club is pleased to announce the Ellie Fund in Needham as its 2011 Honoree at the Second Annual “Service Above Self” Award Dinner. The Ellie Fund provides services such as transportation to medical appointments, childcare, housekeeping, groceries, and nutritious meals free of charge to breast cancer patients and their families. NVS Rotary Club hosts the “Service Above Self” Award Dinner to honor outstanding people and organizations in our community. Join us in our support of the Ellie Fund and charities that ultimately benefit from Rotary donations and service!
