Medfield Motorist Credited for Arrest of Sudbury Robbers

On Thursday, an unknown motorist told a detail police officer about two suspicious men sitting in the parking lot behind Cumberland Farms. Those men were in possession of jewelry stolen during a Sudbury break-in earlier in the day.

An eagle-eyed Medfield motorist can be credited for the recovery of jewelry stolen during a recent Sudbury robbery.

On Thursday at 2:54 p.m., the unknown motorist told a detail police officer in Medfield that there were two suspicious white males sitting in a black two-door vehicle in the back parking lot at Cumberland Farms, according to police documents.

Medfield police subsequently arrested William Bourque, 44 of Arthur Street in Framingham, and Darren Michael Falvey, 33 of Pelican Drive in Walpole, and charged both men with receiving stolen property over $250.

Their vehicles -- Bourque's black 2005 Honda motorcycle and Falvey's black 2012 Ford Focus -- were towed.

Sudbury police arrived at the Medfield Police Station with two robbery victims from their town. Those victims were able to identify some of the recovered stolen property as jewelry that was taken from their home earlier in the day.

According to Sudbury Patch, at least two Sudbury homes were broken into on Thursday after the owners left for work in the morning...

Two Sudbury homes were broken into Thursday with jewelry and other household items stolen, Sudbury Police Lt. Robert Grady said.

At 1:20 p.m., a resident on Wagonwheel Road said she returned home to find numerous items missing.

At 5:18 p.m., residents on Landham Road reported similar circumstances.

Grady said in both cases the homeowners had left for work in the morning.

Grady also said it is believed both housebreaks are related.

After the men were arrested in Medfield Thursday afternoon, bail was set at $3,000 for Bourque and $500 for Falvey.

Falvey, 33, was bailed to his mother at 7:22 p.m. Thursday night.

Bourque, 44, was transported by Medfield police to court at 8:02 a.m. Friday morning.

Bourque's motorcycle remained impounded at the request of the Sudbury Police Department.
