Heated Tweets Between Schilling and Rhode Islanders

Unfriendly Tweets were exchanged on Tuesday between Curt Schilling and Rhode Islanders who blame him and his failed video gaming company for their state's financial crisis.

 

Things are getting ugly in the blogosphere between Curt Schilling and some residents of the state of Rhode Island, according to the June 18, 2013 Boston Magazine blog.

Rhode Island was left holding the bag last year after Schilling's video game company, 38 Studios, went bankrupt. Now the state, which funded the venture, is working to repay nearly $90 million owed to creditors.

On Tuesday, some Rhode Islanders suggested via Twitter that Schilling donate his ESPN salary to the State of Rhode Island to which Schilling responded, "How about I just knock you out?" 

Then it got worse.

The exchange ended with Schilling blaming Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee for the state's financial trouble and added, "Now you pay."
