Rottweiler Found on Route 27 Now Up for Adoption at Medfield Animal Shelter

Medfield Animal Shelter now accepting adoption applications for "Annie."

"Annie" was recently brought to the Medfield Animal Shelter by someone who found the Rottweiler running loose on Route 27.

"We were hoping to reunite her with her owner since she looked well cared for, but no one has claimed her, so we are now accepting adoption applications for her," The Medfield Animal Shelter said in an e-mail to Medfield Patch.

Annie is a "beautiful Rottweiler who appears to be young and is very playful," the shelter said. "She loves dog toys and peanut butter treats. Annie will do best as an only dog in a home with an experienced dog owner who has trained a dog before and is ready and willing to sign her up for obedience training."

Annie is responsive when the shelter has worked with her and "will be a good pupil as long as she has a consistent owner dedicated to investing the time upfront to train her so she understands what is expected of her," according to the shelter.

"She loves to go for walks but does need some leash training to teach her not to pull so much," the shelter said. Call the Medfield Animal Shelter at (508) 359-8989 if you are interested in learning more about Annie or other animals available for adoption.
