Reception to Honor Thompson's 30 Years as Selectman

Tickets are available for a reception to honor Selectman Ann Thompson who will not run for re-election after serving 30 years as a member of the Medfield Board of Selectmen.


A reception to honor Ann Thompson’s 30 years as Medfield Selectman is planned for Sat., March 23, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Center at Medfield, One Ice House Road, Medfield.

The public is invited to the Open House to recognize Ann's 30 years on the Board of Selectman and, before that, five years on the Warrant Committee. Brief speeches of recognition will take place at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets for the event are $20 per person which includes food from Basil’s and drinks (wine, beer, soda, water, coffee and tea). Tickets are on sale through March 15. Funds left over from ticket sales will be donated to a charity of Ann’s choice.

Tickets can be purchased at the following venues: 

  • Medfield Town Hall, during regular business hours 
  • The Center at Medfield during regular business hours (those for whom the ticket price presents a financial difficulty can pick up complementary tickets there)

Ann will also be recognized on March 10 with a lifetime achievement award from The Medfield Foundation.
