Once again, the United States Postal Service employees in Medfield are working to help those in our community who rely on the Medfield Food Cupboard to feed their families.
On Saturday, May 11, postal drivers will collect any bags of food left next to, or hanging from the flags of, mailboxes on their routes, and then deliver them to the Medfield Food Cupboard.
Past postal drives have resulted in thousands of contributed items which fill the shelves before summer.
The items especially needed this year include:
- juice (boxes or bottles)
- canned fruit
- applesauce cups
- pasta sauce
- canned chicken
- macaroni and cheese
- peanut butter
- canned pasta sauce
- tuna in water
At this time the Food Cupboard DOES NOT NEED any soup, canned vegetables or pasta.
Perishable, expired, or opened items should not be donated as these cannot be used and will be thrown away.
Financial and SCRIP donations are always welcome and can be mailed to PO Box 172, Medfield, MA 02052.
