Police Log for Last Weekend Including an SUV Argument, Smashed Mailboxes, and Dirt Bikes

Here's a look at the safety log for Sept. 15 and 16.

Saturday, Sept. 15

7 a.m., Wichita Road area. Norfolk Police Department relayed a call regarding two people arguing in an SUV near the Orchard Street area in their town. Gone on arrival.

8:26 a.m., Main Street.  Motor vehicle accident near Main and Brook Streets.

9:54 a.m., Main Street. Bank of America called 911 to report there were cars being towed from the parking lot. 

11:16 a.m., Marlyn Road. Caller reported a dog barking in the area for approximately 1.5 hours. Police found the dog home alone on Marlyn Road.

5:13 p.m., North Meadows Road and Grove Street. Traffic enforcement, one citation.

5:44 p.m., Spring Street. Assisted with church traffic.

Sunday, Sept. 16

12:15 a.m., Pine Street. Caller reported a red pick up truck in the area smashing mailboxes. Gone on arrival.

7:16 a.m., Spring Street. Assisted with church traffic.

9:08 a.m., Main Street. Assisted with church traffic.

11:30 a.m., Main Street and North Street. Police managed traffic for three motorcycle runs through town.

1 p.m., Pueblo Road. Walk-in report from a man who said a mountain bike was stolen from his home. 

6:15 p.m., Jorie Lane. Walpole police said they received a call from a Jorie Lane resident about people dragging something down the railroad tracks. Police did not find anything other than some fresh dirt bike tracks.
