Medfield residents lined Main Street, gathered at Baxter Park and walked through Vine Lake Cemetery to honor past and present veterans at the Town’s Memorial Day Parade Monday.

Memorial Day Services were dedicated to the memory of Marshall Chick and the parade began just before 10 a.m. at Janes Avenue before marching onto Route 109 on Main Street. Those participating in the march from Janes Avenue to Baxter Park and then through Vine Lake Cemetery and finishing at the American Legion Hall were: The American Legion Color Guard, Firing Squad, American Legion, Clergy and speakers, town Selectmen, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the Legion, Medfield Police and Fire Departments, Cub Scouts and Boys Scouts of America, Lions Club and the Medfield High School Band.

Town historian, Richard DeSorgher, gave the Memorial Address at Baxter Park and Danielle McNeeley, a seventh grader at Blake Middle School, recited the Gettysburg Address. Representative Denise Garlick was also in attendance for the ceremonies at Baxter Park.
