More Heavy Rain Coming

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a flood watch.

Another 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected to soak the region overnight, according to the National Weather Service in Taunton which lists Medfield's forecast as:

  • Today: 30% chance of showers (high of 75)
  • Tonight: 100% chance of heavy rain (low of 60)
  • Tuesday: 80% chance of showers (high of 66)
  • Tuesday night: 60% chance of showers (high of 57)
  • Wednesday: 50% chance of showers (high of 80)
  • Wednesday night: 20% chance of showers (lot of 55)
  • Thursday: Partly sunny (high of 75)

The NWS has issued a flood watch for much of Southern New England from 4 a.m. today to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The heaviest rain is expected overnight and on Tuesday. Thunderstorms are possible Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather service reported this morning.

Much of the area received 3 to 4 inches of rain Friday night into Saturday morning, according to reports to the weather service.
