The following press release was submitted by the Medfield High School Alumni Association.
Calling all former Medfield High School graduates, and anyone else for that matter, to the MHS Alumni Trivia Night on Saturday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at the American Legion on Peter Kristoff Way.
The Medfield High School (MHS) Alumni Association will again host its Trivia Night, a fundraiser for the scholarships given out every spring to graduating MHS seniors. This year’s scholarships will be given in memory of Madelyn Greene, a long time Medfield teacher. Last year, they were given in memory of Wheelock School librarian Susan Pope.
If you missed 2012’s sold-out fun game, here is your chance to match wits with Medfield natives and newcomers alike! The event will kick off at 7 p.m., and the game will begin at 7:30. The last round will end at 10:15 p.m. Cash prizes will be given to tables placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. If purchased in advance of the day of the event, the cost of each ticket will be $20 or $150 for a table of 10. On the night of the event, the cost of each ticket will be $25 or $200 for a table of 10. Discount-priced tickets may be purchased ahead of time, while regular-priced tickets will be sold at the door.
You may purchase a table for you and your classmates or friends, or you may purchase a single ticket and sit at a table with other singles. Snacks will be provided gratis, and the Legion’s cash bar will be open.
Trivia will cover a wide range of topics, including arts and entertainment, TV, sports, geography, news and current events, and popculture. There will also be questions about the history of Medfield courtesy of local historian and MHS alum Richard DeSorgher and a special topic this year on “Lords” trivia, in honor of the many years Lords Department Store was a part of Medfield. Don't get left out! It will be a great night to socialize or meet new people...a reunion of sorts.
