MEMO: Registration Opens for Discover Medfield Day

Registration for this year's Discover Medfield Day is now open for 2010 participants. The first registration period, through the month of June, will be open to last year's venders only.

Discover Medfield Day is only 10 weeks away, according to the Law Office of Russ Hallisey.

Hallisey is the chairman of  this year’s annual fall fair sponsored by MEMO, the Medfield Employers and Merchants organization. The fair, scheduled for Sept. 17, is open to venders who wish to be recognized by Medfield and surrounding communities for the goods and services they provide.

Registration for 2010 participants is now open, although the letters to these venders were delayed until the website was readied for registration, they will be sent out soon. The first registration period, through the month of June, will be open to last year’s venders only. During the month of July, registration will be open to all through Sept. 1.  Please register online at www.medfield-memo.org or in person at the Rockland Trust.

 Fees will remain the same: $75 for non-electrified booths for Medfield businesses, professionals and services or $125 if electricity is supplied. In order to promote local businesses, the fee structure has built in increases for those not located in or whose owners do not reside in Medfield. MEMO members receive a discount on their registration.

MEMO member businesses represented on the committee include: Beginning Years and Elm Summer Camp, Custom Copper and Slate, Electric Time, Mary Roque/Attorney, Middlesex Savings Bank, Palumbo Insurance, Prospect Mortgage, Rehab Marketing Associates, Rockland Trust, The Math Connection, Boston Building Consultants and Medfield Software.

MEMO is the local business organization created to promote local businesses and to provide a network to improve business practices for better customer service and service to the community. 

In addition  to Medfield Day, the group sponsors a Medfield History Day Trolley Tour each spring, Summer Concerts at the Gazebo from June through August and the holiday weekend tree lighting and carol sing and Santa Parade in December.  Committees comprised of representatives from member-businesses are responsible for organizing each event. 

MEMO also provides the holiday lighting during the Christmas season as well as those flags that line the central business area each holiday to honor Medfield’s individuals serving their country.
