Meet 'Lily' the Cat at Medfield's Animal Shelter

Lily is in need of a permanent foster home.

Lily is a 10 year old tortoiseshell kitty who was rescued several months ago after being very poorly treated.

She has been spayed and updated on her vaccinations and has been lovingly cared for the Medfield Animal Shelter's devoted volunteers. Sadly, the shelter's vet has determined that Lily is in renal failure, which means she will need fluids once or twice a week and will need to stay on medicine for the rest of her life.  She seems to be happy and does not appear to be in pain.

The shelter is hoping to find her a permanent foster home to live out her remaining time. The vet believes she could live a few months or maybe a year, but there is really no way to know for sure. What the shelter does know is it would hate for her to spend the remainder of her life in a cage at the shelter.  The Shelter will pay all of Lily's vet costs so the foster family would only be responsible for her food and for giving her lots of love. Please call (508) 359-8989 if you are interested in fostering this beautiful cat.
