Medfield Police Log: Sept. 21 and 22

Friday, Sept. 21

7:35 a.m., Spring Street. Motor vehicle accident with property damage.

10:05 a.m., Evergreen Way. Caller reported a dead animal near her house.

11:13 a.m., Hartford Street. Walk-in report of credit card fraud.

12:38 p.m., Elm Street. Caller reported a dog harassing students in the yard of the Wheelock School. The Animal Control Officer returned the dog to its owner on Curve St.

2:45 p.m., Spring Street. Gas station reported a gas drive-off of $54.32. Police notified Sherborn police. 

3:02 p.m., Pound Street. The Animal Control Officer told police she had a call from the middle school and they have a parrot for her to pick up.

4:48 p.m., South Street. Caller reported a mail truck had been parked in front of her house for a long time. Police discovered the truck was broken down and the Post Office moved it. 

5:19 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage.

5:32 p.m., South Street. Caller said her yellow lab is missing.

6:08 p.m., walk-in. A woman came into the station because her car door would not close. Police got the door to work.

7:39 p.m., South Street. An ambulance was called to the high school for a player that was hurt. The family refused treatment.

8:19 p.m., Nauset Street. Caller reported a squirrel was in her house. Animal Control was notified and was on the way when the caller called back to say the squirrel had left. 

Saturday, Sept. 22

8:08 a.m, walk-in. A South Street resident walked into the station to talk to police about something that happened a week ago.

9:41 a.m., Main Street. Police were checking on a suspicious white male (wearing blue jeans and a white sweatshirt with red letters on it) on private property. Police spoke with the homeowner who said the man works for them on their farm.

11:33 a.m., Main and Spring Streets. Police received numerous complaints about the traffic backed up on Main and Spring Streets. One caller said the State Police on detail were detouring traffic down streets where no one knew where they were going.

11:51 a.m., Arnold Drive. Caller said she is on her way home and her husband called to say he might be having a heart attack and he is home alone. Paramedics arrived at the scene and took the man to the hospital.

10:59 p.m., High Street. A 911 caller said there was a man lying on the ground and people were yelling at him to get up. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
