We have just learned that Michael Bolduc is safe.

Bolduc (and his wife who ran part-way with him) was a half mile away from the finish line when the bombs exploded; he did not finish the race. His children (ages 4 and 6) and parents were just 40 feet from the blast. They are all safe.

We are particularly concerned about Boldoc who, according to BAA records, was at the 40k mark at 2:47 p.m. and Scannell who was at 40k at 2:44 p.m. They would have been near the finish line minutes later.

The bombs exploded at 2:50 p.m.

The following runners likely did not finish because the Marathon was cancelled before they were in the area of the finish line. 

• Lindsay Brayton was at the 40k mark at 3:19 p.m.
• John Frasca was at 40k at 3:24 p.m.
• Erika Konover was at 40k at 3:12 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY: 4/15/13 at 9:00pm -- Hear a few words from some of Medfield's Boston Marathon runners. 

The bombs went off during this year's Boston Explosion around the 4:09 hour marker.

Medfield's William Dron typically runs a 4:0 hour marathon but didn't run this year: He didn't feel he was properly trained and decided a couple weeks ago not to run.

"I didn't end up running this year; I would have been coming in around that time," he said Monday night as he was still trying to locate some of his friends with whom he would have been running.

"I'm trying to find out if they're okay," said Dron. "I was tracking them on-line but I still haven't been able to locate [by phone] some of them."

Other runners report:

Ella Pittman: Friends report she crossed the finish line just as the first bomb went off. She turned around to look and saw the second bomb go off. She is safe but pretty shaken. This was her first marathon and she met her goal of beating 4 hours, at 3:59.

Lisa Perna: Had just crossed the finish line and was having her photo taken when the explosion went off.

Krista Suojane: Did not run the marathon due to recent knee surgery. Friends report she would have been crossing the finish line around that time.

Caroline Scannell: Was seen by friends on NBC news, she was visibly shaken but okay.

Laura Hill Einbinder: Was within blocks of the finish line when the bombs went off and she was detoured and not able to finish. Read her full story here. 

A guard yelled out to us that the run had ended and to go in the other direction out of Boston...Many people, including me, started walking toward the Longwood medical area...It was incredibly chaotic.
