Looking Ahead: Feb. 28 - March 6

A preview of what to expect this week around town and on Medfield Patch.

Here's a look at what's on tap this week around town and on :

Monday, Feb. 28:   There's plenty of events happening at the Center today: Quilting Fun at 9:30 a.m.; Exercise for Life for Seniors at 10:15 a.m.; Seniors singing group at 12:30 p.m.; Scrabble & Bridge at 1 p.m. and Senior theatre group at 1:30 p.m. The library will hold its weekly Networking Group event at 10:30 a.m. The Medfield High School boys' hockey team opens its state tournament play with a first round game against Silver Lake in Brockton at 8 p.m. Columnist Michael McInnis discusses the taxing issues revolving around tax time. There's also a great story on two Medfield sisters that donated their Valentine's Day money to the Animal Shelter. 

Tuesday, March 1: The Board of Selectmen will meet at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall. Check back Tuesday morning for a preview of the meeting. The Medfield Democratic Town Committee meeting will be held in the library at 7:30 p.m. and the Medfield Warrant Committee also meets at 7 p.m. in Town Hall. The Senior computer club at the Center meets at 9 a.m. and the Medfield High School boys' basketball team opens Division 2 South State Tournament play against Scituate High School at SHS at 7 p.m. Check Warriors Game Day for the preview and during the game for live updates and later Tuesday night for the recap of the game.

Wednesday, March 2: It's Moms Day at Medfield Patch, the day out of the week where we feature parent-specific content to help Medfield's parents out. There will be a parenting column, a frugal family column highlighting local shopping deals, a grab and go planner to help parents plan the week ahead with their children and a great escape column, profiling a place to go to relax or get away and enjoy some "me time." We will also recognize our weekly Whiz Kid, preview the Medfield High School girls' basketball game and provide live updates and coverage of the Warriors' tournament game against the winner of Monday's Bishop Feehan/Duxbury game. 

Thursday, March 3:  We will profile the houses that sold in the area this past week in our feature Sold! We will also provide details and an update on the Zullo Gallery's renovations and feature a photo gallery on the state tournament action for Medfield's High School sports and preview the Medfield High School girls' hockey team's tournament game against Ursuline.

Friday, March 4: Richard DeSorgher weekly column, Uniquely Medfield will appear as well as a feature on a Medfield based children's author. Our weekly feature, House Hunt will profile open houses around town in the upcoming weekend and we will provide a restaurant review in Bites Nearby. 

Saturday, March 5: Theresa Knapp's column, Discovering Medfield, will appear and we will recap the week that was in Week in Review as well as look back at the first week of the high school state tournaments.

Sunday, March 6: Our weekly Health and Fitness column will be published as will our weekly recipe swap and weekend workouts video. We will conclude the week with the next installment of this column, Looking Ahead.
