Looking Ahead: Feb. 21-27

Here's a look at what's on tap this week around town and on :

Monday, Feb. 21: It is Presidents Day and the beginning of February vacation for Medfield Public Schools. MHS boys' basketball team travels to Foxboro High for the Foxboro Winter Classic against O'Bryant at 3 p.m. The girls' hockey team travels to Concord for a 5:40 p.m. game against Lincoln-Sudbury. A great video highlighting the girls' hockey team's victory over Dover-Sherborn on Senior Day Saturday will be posted Monday afternoon. Keeping the sports theme, results of Saturday's Division 2 Indoor Track State Championships will be posted. Details of the increase in transfer station sticker prices will also be published.  

Tuesday, Feb. 22: The library will hold a "Starting a Business in Massachusetts" workshop on 10:30 a.m. Puppets Galore Activities will also be held at the library. Ages three and up are invited from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and grades 3 through 5 are invited at 3 p.m. The Center will be holding a Senior Computer Club meeting at 9 a.m. The Warriors boys' basketball team will play in either the consolation game or championship game of the Foxboro Winter Classic Tuesday while the girls' hoops team opens Walpole Tournament play Tuesday at Walpole High School. There will also be a story regarding the issue with the railroad crossing malfunctions occurring frequently in town.  

Wednesday, Feb. 23: It is Moms Day on Medfield Patch as parenting content is published throughout the day to provide information and resources for parents in the Medfield area. We will also reveal our Whiz Kid of the Week. The girls' basketball team will play in either the consolation game or championship game of the Walpole Tournament. A story on a new fitness business open in Medfield will be published. 

Thursday, Feb. 24: Get an early start to planning your weekend with highlights and suggestions from Medfield Patch on events taking place in the area. The girls' hockey team will face-off against Barnstable and there will be a feature on the ball room dancing program at Medfield High and the results of the recent Golden Shoes Competition that took place in the school's gym. 

Friday, Feb. 25: Blue Moon Puppets will put on a show at the library at 11 a.m. The Medfield girls' and boys' basketball teams will learn who their first opponents are in the Division 2 State tournaments as pairings are announced by the MIAA. 

Saturday, Feb. 26: The girls' and boys' hockey pairings for the Division 2 MIAA State Tournament will be announced. Games and crafts will be held at the library at 11 a.m.
