Kids Have a Tube-ular Time with Park & Rec [PHOTOS]

Medfield kids take to tubing at Nashoba.

The following press release was submitted by the Medfield Parks & Recreation Department.

For the third straight year, the Medfield Parks & Recreation Department brought two full buses of kids and chaperones to the Nashoba Valley Tubing Park for a fun-filled afternoon on the trails.

On Friday, Feb. 1, with 82 kids from Dale Street School and Blake Middle School, the group rode the trails all afternoon, going down both solo and as group trains, making the experience even more memorable. Despite the warm weather experienced in the area the days leading up to the trip, the conditions were perfect for tubing on Friday, with temperatures hovering in the mid-30s and the snow-making machines blasting on the mountain.

Parks and Recreation will again head to Nashoba Valley next winter for the fourth consecutive year. In the interim, if you are looking to get your child involved in these fun events, we will be running programs during April vacation week, including day trips to area attractions, a multi-sports program and a baseball skills program, with something for all ages! Information will be available on the Web site at www.medfieldrec.com.

For more information on these programs, or anything related to Parks & Recreation, do not hesitate to contact program coordinator Kevin Ryder at medfieldrecreation@gmail.com.
