July 4th Weekend Full of Fireworks, Parades and Road Races

A list of where to catch the best fireworks, parades, and road races.

The most anticipated summer weekend is upon us and while Medfield will not be holding any official town celebration, there is still plenty to do throughout the area this Fourth of July holiday weekend. So as we all ready ourselves for a weekend full of family, beach trips, cookouts, fireworks and everything American, here's a guide to some places you can go to celebrate.

Below is a list of local fourth of July weekend events.

Foxborough:

  • Harvard Pilgrim Kids Fun Run. On Sunday, July 3, a Scavenger Hunt will be held at 2pm for kids and families, with prizes including Patriot Place gift cards and New England Patriots merchandise. Legendary four-time Boston Marathon champ Bill Rodgers will be on-site from 3-5pm to greet families attending the Kids’ Fun Run.  
  • July 4th - Harvard Pilgrim 10k at Patriot Place. The Harvard Pilgrim 10K at Patriot Place begins at 9am, loops through historic Foxborough and ends inside Gillette Stadium. 

 Sharon

  • July 3 - events start at 4 p.m. with the Bicycle and Doll Carriage Parade at Beech Tree Park. The day ends with Fireworks over Lake Massapoag at 9:30 p.m.

 Stoughton

  • Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m, July 3 at Stoughton High School. 

Brockton: 

  • Brockton Fair fireworks, July 2, 3, 4 at 10:30 p.m. 

Plymouth: 

  • Parade: 10 a.m. - July 4, begins at Hedge Road, North Plymouth. 
  • Concert - 7:30 p.m. July 4 Phil harmonic Orchestra concert at the waterfront.
  • Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m. on July 4 at the waterfront.
