Grab & Go Kids Planner: Funtastic Weekend Ahead

From Saturday fun in Wellsley to summer book reading in Dover, you can get crazy during the day and the nestle up with a book for some quiet time during the evening.

  • Head to Wellesley on Saturday, July 16 for Funtastic Saturdays for Kids in Linden Square Courtyard (180 Linden Street, Wellesley) from 2 to 5 p.m. There’s free face painting, balloon twisting, kids crafts, petting farm, fun food and much more every Saturday afternoon at Linden Square’s brand new courtyard (next to Ceri).   • Who said summer isn’t for learning? Dover Town Library (56 Dedham Street, Dover) wants to make it fun with their One World, Many Stories program. Just fill out a registration form and start reading. Your child could win a prize for every five books they read.
  • If you’re dying to go out to dinner but the prices make you cringe, have I got a site for you! Kidseatfree.com offers a database of sweet deals in your area. Now you can take the weekend off and leave the kitchen behind. Some deals in the area including: British Beer Company (120 Worcester Street, Framingham) and Halfway Café (95 Washington Street, Canton) Just check the site on the day you want to go and eat for free!
  • Read a book and get to see a movie for free- that’s better than movie magic! Every Wednesday through Aug. 10 at 10 a.m., you can see a movie at Legacy Place’s National Amusements theatres (670 Legacy Place, Dedham). Go to the site, and download a book report. Read. Fill it out and bring it with you to select Bookworm Wednesday movies and that’s the price of admission!
