Looking for something to do with the kids this weekend? Check out these Medfield Patch suggestions in our Grab & Go Kids Planner.

So far this weekend looks like a mixed-bag weather-wise, and we've got our bases covered. From indoor fun in Needham to running across homebase at Fenway, here's this week's Grab & Go Kids Planner!

  • Every Sunday, Memorial Drive is closed to traffic between Western Avenue and Mount Auburn Street., and open to recreation from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Bring your bikes, scooters, inline skates, running shoes, strollers or walking feet to take advantage of the unique access to this normally busy road with views of the Charles each summer Sunday. When you are done, go grab lunch in Harvard Square.
  • Bring the whole family to Powisset Farm (39 Powisset St, Dover) to kick off the 2011 farming season on Saturday, May 21 from 1 to 5 p.m. Spring Fest will include farm tours, guided nature walks, live music, projects for kids, and vendors selling crafts and food. A huge Seedling Sale will also take place during the Spring Fest as well as May 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. You'll be able to purchase a variety of vegetable, flower, and herb seedlings, and beautiful hanging baskets. Members: $4; Family $10. Nonmembers: $5; Family $12.
  • Ever dreamed of crossing home base at Fenway? The Run to Home Base on Sunday, May 22 is a unique 9K fundraising run through scenic Boston ending with an unforgettable experience of crossing “home base” (plate) at historic Fenway Park. Friends and family can watch you from the stands at Fenway, with food, entertainment and fun family activities in the concourses of America’s Most Beloved Ballpark. The run will raise money to help veterans and their families dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.
  • If the weather doesn’t cooperate and you need an indoor option, Lakeshore Learning (230 Needham Street, Newton) is hosting ‘Let’s Dance Streamer’  on Saturday, May 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Your child can make their own colorful streamers to add their dance flare.
  • Needham 300 is teaming up with NeedhamBikes for a day of healthy family fun on Saturday, May 21 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Newman Elementary School Cafeteria (1155 Central Avenue, Needham) The event will feature a bike tune-up workshop, a historical bike exhibit, bike decorating, a bike parade and an 8-mile Family Fun Ride.
