Today's Forecast: Wednesday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog. High near 58. East wind between 7 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 precent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.   Wednesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog. Low around 54. East wind between 7 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Notable Events:

Warriors' Wednesday:  The Warriors' varsity baseball team and the varsity softball team will travel to Bellingham for 3:45 p.m. games. The  varsity tennis team travels to Ashland for a 3:45 p.m. match.

Did You Know?: The Medfield High School boys' lacrosse team lost its first Tri-Valley League game since 2002 on Tuesday – a span of 119 games. The Warriors fell to Hopkinton, 11-10, in double overtime.
