Five Things You Need to Know Today in Medfield, July 21

Here's a look at the day ahead.

Today's Forecast: Thursday's weather, according to the National Weather Service  based in Taunton, calls for sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Heat index values as high as 104. West wind between 9 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Thursday Night: Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 73. West wind between 5 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Notable Events:

  • In Medfield today,The Medfield Housing Authority will meet at the Tilden Village Community Room at 7:30 p.m. and the Medfield  will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Chenery Room. 
  • The  plays North Medford at the  Williamsport Sectionals in Norwood at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend to support our Little League District 11 Champions.
  • MEMO, The Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization, is pleased to welcome Medfield's Premier Rock Cover Band "Route 109" to their 2011  series at the Gazebo in front of the at 6 p.m. Route 109 plays classics and modern hits with fresh energy.  Their set includes indie ballads, Euro-pop fever & calypso swing for a summertime feeling the whole family will enjoy.
  • The  will be open today from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on the grounds of the  at 26 North St. Fresh produce and food will be offered by local farmers and producers. Parking is available behind the Church.
