Notable Events:

  • Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held at the Medfield Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is open to all. Find great books for great prices.
  • "Spring is Here" will be read at story time in the Walpole Barnes & Noble at 10:30 a.m.

Spring Sports in Full Swing: Six Medfield High School sports teams are in play today. The softball team travels to Hopkinton for a 3:45 p.m. game. The baseball team opens its season against Hopkinton at Curt Schilling Field. The boys' lacrosse teams hosts Westwood. The boys' tennis team hosts Hopkinton while the girls' tennis team travels to Hopkinton and the boys' volleyball team hosts Catholic Memorial. Stay tuned for updates and results of the action.

In Case You Missed It: The Medfield High School softball team opened its 2011 season with a 2-1 victory over Needham on Thursday at Shonda Schilling Field. Click for the recap of that game. The Medfield High School boys' tennis team opened its 2011 season in Shrewsbury and fell in five games. Click here for the highlights. 

Check Back Today: The story on Robert Parga being named the new principal of Medfield High School will appear on Medfield Patch this morning. We will also preview the upcoming Medfield High School baseball season as the Warriors open their 2011 season against Hopkinton.
