  • The Medfield Board of Selectmen will meet on the second floor of Town Hall at 7 p.m. Check back later today for a preview of what will be discussed at the meeting.

MHS Boosters/Italian Groceria Fundraiser for MHS Girls' Lacrosse: Not in the mood or don't have time to make a meal in the kitchen? Stop by the at 258 Main St. from 5 to 8 p.m. for some great food and to support the Medfield High School girls' lacrosse team. Thirty percent of its sales during that time frame will be donated to the Warriors' lacrosse team. The Warriors begin their 2011 season today at 3:45 p.m. when they host Holliston.

Tragedy Avoided at Beginning Years' Child Development Center on Monday: Medfield Police and Firefighters were relieved Monday that rainy weather kept more than 50 children at Beginning Years Child Development Center inside at 50 North St. inside and away from the playground as an elderly woman lost control of her 1998 Jaguar and crashed it into the center's playground area. The elderly woman and her daughter (in the passenger seat) sustained minor injuries and no children were hurt. Click to see photos, videos and more information from the incident.

The dedication ceremony and concert honoring Lowell Mason as the MHS auditorium was named after the famous music educator was a huge success in town - watch video and see photos from the event.
