Weekend Forecast: Saturday's forecast, according to the National Weather Service based out of Taunton, calls for sunny, with a high near 64 degrees in Medfield. North wind between 7 and 10 mph. Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 39 degrees. Calm wind becoming north between 4 and 7 mph. Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 64 degrees. East wind around 9 mph. Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42 degrees. Southeast wind at 6 mph becoming southwest.

  • Seventh Annual Families of FSMA Yard Sale will be held Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. on 3 Hospital Rd. 
  • Friends of Medfield Seniors Annual Yard Sale will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Senior Center on One Ice House Road. 
  • CFF Fundraising Concession Stand will be held Saturday at the Ralph Wheelock School from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 
  • TickleJuice Jazz Concert will be held at the Unitarian Church from 7 to 10 p.m.
  • May Day will be held Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at 33 Hartford St. 

Medfield Green Day: The Medfield Green Committee will hold its annual "" Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. This one-stop reuse and redistribution event is a great opportunity to pass on your unwanted items for use by someone else. Items that will be collected this year include: Electronics; Appliances;  Clothing for all ages; Clothing for babies and children (0 to 12 years); Business attire for women (clothing, purses, shoes, etc.); Business attire for men (clothing, belts, shoes, etc.);  Baby equipment (only newer items in good condition);  Books, videos, DVDs; Blankets, comforters, towels; Pet items (beds, crates, toys);  Small household items (lamps, dishes, etc.); Expired medications; Sports equipment.

Medfield Youth Baseball and Softball Opening Day: The town's youth baseball and softball leagues opening ceremonies and parade will be held at Metacomet Park Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Individual and team photos will be taken in the morning at the Memorial School field followed by the parade and opening ceremonies. Coaches will inform players of their scheduled photo time. All baseball and softball teams should report to the Memorial School parking lot no later than 11:45 am. The parade will begin at noon from the Memorial School parking lot and end at the Metacomet Park Baseball Field. Immediately following the parade, all teams will march onto Metacomet Field for the Opening Day ceremonies. Hot dogs, beverages, hats and shirts will be available for purchase. A Major League game will complete the day's events.
