5 Things: Medfield Library & Zullo Gallery Artists' Reception and Spring Sports

Here's a look at the day ahead for Friday, May 18.

Today's Forecast: Friday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for sunny, with a high near 74. Northeast wind at 5 mph becoming west. Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 43. South wind between 5 and 8 mph becoming calm.

Noteable Events:

  • In conjunction with Zullo's Gallery's artists' reception tonight, the welcomes artist Debra Olin who will host a discussion on "Every Protection" Exploring Pregnancy and Childbirth in the Jewish Pale of Settlement from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Dailey Room.
  • , will hold an artists' reception tonight for its newest art exhibit entitled: "Outwitting History: A Juried Exhibition" from 6 to 8 p.m. This exhibit is heavily influenced by the launch of its first “one-town, one-book” selection of 'Outwitting History' by Aaron Lansky. "Outwitting History: A Juried Exhibition," according to Zullo Gallery, features artwork that reflects any aspect of the artists' personal cultural legacy, whether family heritage, lessons or experiences learned from previous generations, or stories from the past.  The reception is free and open to the public.
  • The Snack Shack will be open during tonight's boys' lacrosse team game against rivals Dover-Sherborn at 7 p.m. Bring the family down to support your team while enjoying hot dogs, pizza, pretzels, popcorn, cocoa, candy and more.
