Five Things Including Local Author and Chess

Here's a list of good things to know as you start your day in Medfield.

 

1. Tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the library, Medfield Talks with local author Tim Flaherty (a Peace Corps volunteer) whose new book chronicles the struggles of bringing his adopted son, Santos, to the USA from Guatemala in 1979.  

2. Did you read about the Board of Selectmen's discussion Tuesday night about the "marijuana-as-medicine" question on next month's ballot? Weigh in -- we'd love to hear from you.

3. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Be sure to read the latest story in Medfield Patch's breast cancer series; this one focuses on the importance of sisterhood among breast cancer survivors.
