DPW Workers Recognized for Hard Work Over Winter

First Baptist Church of Medfield held an appreciation dinner for DPW workers on April 9.

The wanted to show its appreciation for the Medfield Department of Public Works and all the hard work they turned in during a brutal winter that left 82.9 inches of snow, according to Medfield Weather

FBC Medfield did just that with a "dinner and show" to honor those DPW workers on April 9.

"We had 33 guests and an abundant supply of Italian style food prepared by the church members," said Bonnie Finley, chair board of deacons at FBC Medfield. "Papa Gino's pitched in with free pizzas, making it a true community effort."

Five members of the award-winning Medfield High School Jazz Band with soloist Stephanie Shephard provided musical entertainment for the evening.

"These young people are more than talented," said Finley.
