Saturday, Feb. 9

6:00 a.m. -- Snowfall now at 26 inches. The official total for the Blizzard of '78 was 27.1, the largest storm in Boston history was 27.5 inches in 2003 -- looks like 2013 will soon top the chart!

  1. 27.5 inches -- Feb. 17-18, 2003
  2. 27.1 inches -- Feb. 6-7, 1978
  3. 26.3 inches -- Feb. 24-27, 1969
  4. 25.4 inches -- March 31-April 1, 1997
  5. 22.5 inches -- Jan. 22-23, 2005

3:00 a.m. -- Man still missing in Noon Hill Reservation. Volunteers told to stay home. 

2:00 a.m. -- Now at 21.5 inches. Let's see what the morning brings. 

Friday, Feb. 8

11:15 p.m. -- Now at 17 inches -- that's 5.5 inches in just over an hour. What a storm! 

10:00 p.m. -- Now at 11.5 inches.

9:30 p.m. --

7:00 p.m. -- Five inches and counting...

5:00 p.m. -- Plows are out in full force.  

4:00 p.m. -- Everyone should be off road to comply with Gov. Patrick's executive order or face $500 fine and up to a year in jail

2:00 p.m. -- Shaw's will close at 3 p.m. 

12:15 p.m. -- Governor Deval Patrick declares an Executive Order that all drivers must be off the road by 4 p.m. or face a $500 fine and up to one year in jail

6:00 a.m. -- Medfield Public Schools closed today. 

Thursday, Feb. 7

7:30 p.m. -- Medfield Public Schools will be CLOSED on Friday. 

4 p.m. -- DPW vehicles are fueled up and ready to go. 

1:30 p.m. -- Medfield Public Schools will have an Early Release Day on Friday. UPDATE: School closed all day Friday.
