Best French Fries in Medfield: Noon Hill Grill

This past week, we asked readers to fill us in on where to get the best French fries in Medfield.

After days of polling, the results are in! In a close race between two local eateries, has been chosen as the place that serves the best fries in town.

Our shows readers will be stopping by the Noon Hill Grill when they're craving their favorite side order as the Main Street restaurant claimed 23 of the 50 votes (46 percent), edging – also on Main Street, which picked up 19 votes (38 percent). and each received three votes, which was good for third place.

One eatery that wasn't on the list earned a vote via the comment section. Medfield Patch reader Melissa Roeder chose recently opened , on North Meadows Road.

"I vote for From Scratch," Roeder said. "I know they are not on the list but [the fries] are hand cut right at From Scratch and are very fresh."

Noon Hill Grill, located at 530 Main St., operated by Jennifer and Steve Slesar, strives to provide a "family-friendly environment in the dining room" and a "casual bar" scene with a large variety of micro brews on tap, according to its website. The menu is full of "New American choices."

The restaurant's name comes from in Medfield and was chosen because it represents a common meeting place for friends and family, according to its website.

"Noon Hill has a powerful history to it," according to the restaurant's website. "Used as a meeting place for as long as anyone can remember, legend has it that Noon Hill was a common meeting place for local Native Americans long before restaurants existed. We believe a good place to meet should be a good place to drink and eat, and so Noon Hill Grill was born."

And according to Medfield readers, Noon Hill Grill is the best place to meet and eat some French fries.
