A Snowy Sunday in Medfield

February could not leave without one more snowfall.

Surprise! Mother Nature greeted Medfield with a little over three inches of snow Sunday and a wintry mix is in the forecast for Monday. 

The National Weather Service is reporting a wintry mix early Monday morning with a chance of freezing rain before 9 a.m. and then rain and patchy fog throughout the day. Expect a high around 44 degrees with wind gusts as high as 34 mph, chance of precipitation is 100 percent and new precipitation amounts will likely range between three quarters and one inch, the NWS said.

The wintry mix is expected to continue into Monday night, with rain and snow likely in the forecast before 3 a.m. and then a slight chance of snow between 3 and 4 a.m., according to the NWS. A quarter to a half an inch of new accumulation is possible.
