Today's Forecast: Thursday's weather, according to the National Weather Service  based in Taunton, calls for a chance of showers, mainly before 5 p.m. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 68. Northeast wind between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Thursday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 9 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 60. North wind between 3 and 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Notable Events:

  •  will hold Jazz Auditions today from 3 to 6 p.m.
  • The  will be open today from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on the grounds of the  at 26 North St. Fresh produce and food will be offered by local farmers and producers. Warriors' Wednesday: The  girls' and boys' freshmen soccer teams will travel to Medway for games scheduled for 3:30 p.m. The boys' freshman football team will travel to Oliver Ames for a 5:30 p.m. game.

Transfer Station Open All Week: The Medfield Board of Selectmen announced at Tuesday's meeting that the transfer station will again be open all week for residents to use while still clearing their properties from Tropical Storm Irene. The transfer station will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the rest of the week.
