Today's Forecast: Tuesday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming east between 5 and 8 mph.
Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 2 a.m. Patchy fog after 10 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. East wind between 3 and 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

  • In Medfield today, the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the tonight at 7:30 pm.
  • Gary Gekow of "Resume Your Career" will present a Salary and Benefits Negotiation Workshop at the today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop will include topics such as: What is your market value? Can allowances be made with respect to additional vacation time? What are increased stock options? What strategies can help bolster your confidence?
  • will hold an Information Night for Parents of Kindergarten Students from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The meeting will begin at the School Gym with a brief welcome from the principal, Andrea Trasher. Parents will then have the opportunity to visit their child's classroom to listen to his/her teacher talk about the curriculum, flow of the day, and other pertinent information.

  • The boys' and girls' varsity soccer teams face Bellingham today. The boys' team will play at home at 5 p.m. while the girls' team travels to Bellingham for a 3:30 p.m. match.
  • The girls' varsity field hockey team travels to Dover-Sherborn for a 3:30 p.m. game.
  • The girls' varsity volleyball team hosts Bellingham at 6:30 p.m.

Fun Fact of the Day:  An earthquake on Dec. 16, 1811 caused parts of the Mississippi River to flow backwards.
