Today's Forecast: Wednesday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for rain likely, mainly before 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 59. South wind at 8 mph becoming west. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. 
Wednesday Night: A chance of rain, mainly before 10 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 39. West wind between 5 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

  • The Medfield Board of Health will meet at the Medfield  today at 6:30 p.m.
  • CSA will hold a meeting in the cafeteria at 7 p.m. Parents and kids are welcome to attend.

Warriors Wednesday:

  • The boys' freshmen football team will travel to Dover-Sherborn for a 3 p.m. game.

  • Children and teens in grades four and up are invited to stop by the Medfield Library every Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. to choose and play from a collection of Wii games. The gaming station will be set up in the lower level meeting room.
  • Pattycake Place Story Time will be held at 10:45 a.m. Children, ages 0-23 months old are invited to particpate in the interactive storytime with their caregivers. Also at the library Wednesday, will be the Book Bunch Storytime, beginning at 11:30 a.m. for preschoolers, ages 2 and 3.

Fire Chief: Beware of Volunteer Firefighter Association: Medfield Fire Chief William Kingsbury informed Medfield Patch via e-mail and town officials via memo Tuesday of the organization "Volunteer Firefighter Association of America" calling Medfield residents asking for donations. Kingsbury said the has nothing to do with this organization and residents should be cautious when asked to donate to the group. Kingsbury advised residents against donating to the organization.
