Today's Forecast: Thursday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for showers, mainly after noon. The rain could be heavy at times. Patchy fog. High near 61. East wind between 3 and 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Thursday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 9 p.m., then showers likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog before 10 p.m. Low around 45. Northwest wind between 6 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

  • The Medfield boys freshmen football team hosts Millis at 3:30 p.m.

Notable Events:  

  • Seniors are invited to visit the Center at Medfield and enjoy a Zumba dance exercise session every Thursday at 10 a.m. This workout will use every muscle you have and you'll have fun doing it. Drop-In cost is $4 per class.
  • The will hold a Pattycake Place Story Time today at 10:45 a.m. Children, ages 0-23 months old are invited to participate in the interactive storytime with their caregivers.  The library will also host a Book Bunch Storytime, beginning at 11:30 a.m. for preschoolers, ages 2 and 3.

Comfort Zone's Grief Relief 5K: Registration is open for walkers and runners to participate in the Grief Relief 5K, scheduled for 8 a.m. Nov. 12 at Medfield High School/Middle School, 88R South St., Medfield. The event will raise support and awareness for Comfort Zone, a national nonprofit bereavement program for children and teens that have lost a parent, guardian or sibling. Camps are free of charge for campers and provide participants with a fun weekend of camp activities coupled with confidence-building programs and age based support groups to help break the emotional isolation grief often brings.
