Today's Forecast: Wednesday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for a chance of rain and snow showers before noon, then rain showers. Patchy fog after 4 p.m. High near 51. South wind between 3 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Wednesday Night: Showers, mainly before 10 p.m. Patchy fog before 7 p.m. Low around 44. West wind between 6 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Notable Events:

• Medfield Writes - Writing Group meets every Wednesday from 1 to
  2:30 p.m. at the in one of the conference rooms.  Please bring your poems, stories, writings to share.

• Warriors' Wednesday: The boys' and girls' varsity hockey teams take the ice tonight. The boys play Holliston at the Veterans Arena in Franklin at 8 p.m. while the girls' team travels to Beverly High School for an 8 p.m. game.

The will host several events today:

• A "Create A Last Minute Gift" workshop for students in grades 6 - 12 will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Drop by the meeting room to create last minute unique holiday gifts to give to friends and family. Materials and instruction will be provided for two different creations.

• Children and teens in grades four and up are invited to stop by the Medfield Library every Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. to choose and play from a collection of Wii games. The gaming station will be set up in the lower level meeting room.

• Pattycake Place Story Time will be held at 10:45 a.m. Children, ages 0-23 months old are invited to particpate in the interactive storytime with their caregivers. A Toddler Storytime for pre-schoolers ages 2 and 3 will be held at 11:30 a.m.
