5 Things You Need to Know Today in Medfield, Aug. 18

Here's a look at the day ahead.

Today's Forecast: Thursday's weather, according to the National Weather Service  based in Taunton, calls for sunny, with a high near 83. West wind between 5 and 11 mph.  Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 a.m. Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Southwest wind between 3 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Notable Events:

  • In Medfield Today, the  will hold a meeting at the  at 7:30 a.m.
  • MEMO, The Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization, will end its 2011  at the Gazebo with "The Grass Gypsys" at 6 p.m. The Grass Gypsys music ranges from upbeat rock to country ballads to soulful jazz.
