5 Things You Need to Know in the Week Ahead: Sept. 19-25

Here's a quick look at the week ahead in Medfield.

Five-Day Forecast: According to the National Weather Service, based out of Taunton, Medfield’s five-day forecast looks like this: Monday calls for Sunny, with a high near 65. Tuesday is expected to see A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Thursday will see a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Friday will likely be partly sunny, with a high near 74.

Town Meetings: The Medfield School Committee will meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the TV Production classroom of the . On Tuesday, the Medfield Board of Selectmen will meet on the second floor of at 7:30 p.m. Medfield Board of Appeals will meet at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Medfield Board of Assessors will meet at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Warriors Week in Sports: On Monday, Medfield boys’ golf plays Millis in Canton at 3 p.m. Medfield field hockey team will host “North Shore powerhouse” Bishop Fenwick at 5:15 p.m. On Tuesday, the Medfield boys’ soccer team hosts Holliston at 5 p.m. while the girls’ soccer team travels to Holliston at 5p.m. On Wednesday, the Medfield boys’ and girls’ cross country teams travel to Medway to compete against the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. The Medfield girls’ volleyball team travels to Holliston for a 6:30 p.m. match. The Medfield field hockey team travels to Medway for a 3:30 p.m. game. On Thursday, the Medfield boys’ golf team plays Norton at 3 p.m. The Medfield girls’ volleyball team hosts Barnstable at 5:30 p.m. On Friday, the Medfield girls’ soccer team hosts Westwood at 5 p.m. The field hockey team hosts Hopkinton at 6:30 p.m. The boys’ soccer team travels to Westwood for a 6:30 p.m. game and the football team travels to Ashland for a 7 p.m. game.

Just Write Kids Open House: Stop by Just Write Kids at 36 Park St.  to find out more about the classes being offered. Many students today struggle with handwriting and research shows that better handwriting means better grades. Preschool students will learn essential foundational skills while older students will learn how to have neat, efficient handwriting. Attend the open house to receive a 10 percent discount on tuition for classes. Refreshments will be served as well. Open house will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
