Next Step Living: Openings for Canvassers and Event Representatives

Next Step Living is currently hiring for two key positions in our Outreach Department- Neighborhood Outreach Canvassers and Event Outreach Representatives. Both positions are available in Boston, MA or New Haven, CT.

In both positions you would serve as the face of Next Step Living to residents of the communities we serve, helping people understand the different ways to save energy and money at home, what programs and rebates are available to them, and what options make the most sense for them, their family and their home. In addition to helping people understand their options, our   Neighborhood Outreach Canvassers and Event Outreach Representatives help community members find the best technology to address their issue--whether it be solar power, efficient, fossil fuel free heating and cooling, highly efficient windows or a MassSave home energy assessment--and make it easy for customers to take action.

These are great entry-level jobs where someone who is passionate about clean energy and looking to build a career can have an impact right away and learn great skills. The pay is very competitive ($12-$25/hour) and there are lots of opportunities for career development and advancement.

About Next Step Living:

Next Step Living is a residential energy efficiency company dedicated to making your home more comfortable and valuable.  We are a socially-conscious, environmentally focused, results-driven organization dedicated to helping our customers lower their energy bills, increase the comfort of their homes, and reduce their carbon footprint. Founded in the fall of 2008, Next Step Living has grown from 5 to 500 employees and recently expanded to Connecticut.

We realize the only way to ensure lasting change is to make a large scale impact.  Through collaborative efforts with major utilities, communities, employers and other businesses, we strive to help bring social, economic, and environmental change to cities and towns across the country. Residences account for 35% of all wasted energy. Getting that energy back and putting it to good use offers a tremendous opportunity for energy savings, but also for community building and green job creation. As a company, we are fully committed to these three opportunities.

It’s a tall order, but with our non-profit, policy, and private sector backgrounds, combined with our passion to achieve a positive, lasting impact, we’re ready to face and overcome the challenges ahead.

Together, we can change the world, one home at a time.
