Needham Bank Sponsors Book Reception with Local Author Christopher Wilson

MEDFIELD, MA, ISSUED APRIL 25, 2014…Needham Bank continues its community commitment by sponsoring a speaker presentation with local author Christopher Wilson on Wednesday, May 7th, 2014 at 7pm.  The event will be hosted by the Medfield Coalition for Public Education and will take place at Blake Middle School Auditorium in Medfield. Guests will have a chance to enjoy an entertaining and educational evening with Mr. Wilson, ask him questions and receive a free copy of “BA to Boardroom with No BS, Skills for Life.”

Mr. Wilson, a lifelong Wellesley resident, began his career as a liberal arts grad answering phones for Fidelity in 1980.  Over the next 30 years, he navigated the mutual fund business in Boston and became the President and CEO of Columbia Funds for Bank of America. His journey, and the coaching of thousands of people along the way, led him to write a book showing what skills are needed for career success. The Book, “BA to Boardroom With No BS, Skills for Life” is perfect for students and those with children entering, in or graduating from college.  It is also a great read for anyone re-entering the workforce or a manager or leader seeking new tools to increase their effectiveness.

“As Medfield’s community bank, we are delighted to provide this type of real-life advice and coaching to our customers and community at large through the success of local residents like Chris who is also a customer. We have been hosting receptions for Chris at our branches, they’ve been well-attended, and his message really resonates,” said Jack McGeorge, Chairman and CEO of Needham Bank and Medfield resident.
