Will the New Starbucks Have a Drive-Thru?

In this column, you ask a question and Patch tries to find the answer.

With the news last week that developer Salvatore Capital Partners is still on track to convert the former gas station to a Starbucks coffee shop, residents have many concerns on the project.

This week, one Patch reader -- who was greatly concerned about the traffic at the already-busy corner of Main and North Streets -- asked...

Question: "Will Starbucks have a drive-thru?"

Short answer: "No."

The town of Medfield has a bylaw that prohibits food establishments to have drive-thru windows, something residents can see applied to other eateries in town. That bylaw will also be applied to whatever business eventually goes into the former Friendly's restaurant.
