Registration Open for 2012 Discover Medfield Day

Registration for last year's MEMO Discover Medfield Day participants is now open. Registration for all other participants will begin on July 15.

School is ending soon and another summer is about to begin in Medfield ... meaning most of the town will disappear for the next few months.

Discover Medfield Day, sponsored annually by MEMO, the Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization, is scheduled for Sept. 15 this year and registration is now open to last year’s participants.

MEMO members that did not participate in 2011 may register after June 15.  Open registration for all other businesses will begin July 15 and so it is time to think ahead before the summer hiatus hits Medfield.

The business organization also honors local residents serving in the military by flying flags along the central business district on each major holiday and provides annual scholarships to graduating seniors at and Tri-County Regional Vocational High Schools.

All events are provided with the help of individual MEMO member sponsors. MEMO also makes financial or in kind donations to various local charities and organizations in support of their activities and events including but not limited to: Medfield Youth Baseball, Medfield Home Committee, Medfield Green Day, Eagle Scout candidates, the Peter Kenny Excellence in TV award, the Medfield Police and Medfield Fire Departments, The Center at Medfield.

Discover Medfield day originated in 1980 when a new business organization searched for ways to promote the organization founded in 1979 and to help promote local businesses and civic and service organizations. It includes free live entertainment, fundraising events, food vendors and area crafts as well as a kids alley. It is a not to be missed event on Sept. 15; either as a participant or a visitor.
