Patriots AFC Championship Tickets Go on Sale Thursday

A limited number of tickets to the Jan. 20 AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Jan. 17.

For the ninth time in 20 playoff appearances, the New England Patriots are just one game from advancing to the Super Bowl.

That game will be played at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 6:30 p.m. against the Baltimore Ravens. It is the second consecutive season the Patriots and Ravens will meet in the AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium. New England beat Baltimore in last season’s AFC title game, 23-20 to advance to Super Bowl XLVI.

The Patriots are 7-1 all-time in AFC Championship Games, including 4-0 in Foxborough (3-0 at Gillette Stadium) but just 1-1 against the Ravens in the postseason. Baltimore defeated the Patriots, 33-14 in the 2009-10 AFC Wild Card game at Gillette Stadium on Jan. 10, 2010. However, the Patriots are 6-2 all-time vs. the Ravens.

Sunday will be the third time since then that the Patriots have played in the championship game in consecutive seasons. It is the fourth time in franchise history that the team has earned the second seed. In three of those four seasons the Patriots advanced to the Super Bowl. Historically, that home-field advantage has helped propel the Patriots through the playoffs, as they have won an NFL-best 14 of the last 16 home playoff games.

Fans interested in attending Sunday’s rematch in Foxborough will have a chance to purchase a limited number of tickets Thursday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com.

All Patriots playoff ticket orders will only be processed through Ticketmaster. Playoff tickets will not be sold at the Gillette Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket orders can be processed one of two ways, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone by calling 800-745-3000 only. Visa, a proud sponsor of the National Football League and the New England Patriots, will be the only accepted form of payment.

Pricing: Playoff pricing is set by the NFL. The individual ticket prices for the AFC Championship Game range from $269 (100 Level Sideline) to $120 (300 Level).
