NVCC Calendar Events

The next few weeks are a busy time for the Norwood-based Chamber of Commerce.

The start of the fall season is not only a busy time for schools but for businesses as well, and the Norwood-based Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce is filling in the final weeks of August and start of September with events and seminars.

Here are some of the upcoming Chamber events:

"How I Trapped Myself into Making $40K on a Friday Afternoon" at Gray, Gray & Gray LLP in Westwood, Aug. 18, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.: Part of the Needham Bank Small Business Seminar Series, "How I Trapped Myself Into Making 40K on a Friday Afternoon" promises to be a unique and entertaining look on how to improve sales lead generation with Joe Cole, author of "Mercenary Cold Calling Tactics for the Sales Jungle." After spending the first year of his business career as an inside marketing representative for New Telephone Company, (NYNEX) Joe began his first straight commission outside sales position with a Financial Publishing Company selling book printing to publishers in Boston. He committed himself to a disciplined cold calling system during his 10 years with this firm. This system helped him to build a customer base that provided a top producing territory for the company and generated profitable sales leads throughout his career in the millions. Cole will also be holding two boot camp sessions on August 19th and 20th. If interested, please contact Cristoff at cristoff@nvcc.com

She will lay out the steps you can use to cultivate a powerfully driven, client-focused environment that produces passionately loyal customers. Thomas is the founder and President of 21st Century Management Consulting, located in Newton, Massachusetts. Her firm specializes in Customer Retention, which plugs the “leaky customer bucket” and thereby increases a company’s profitability. Breakfast is included.
