Marijuana Cultivation Facility Discussed for West Street

Attorneys say their "well-funded" clients run multi-million dollar private equity firms and they want to open a "marijuana cultivation facility" at 99 West Street.

The Town of Medfield could become home to one of the area's first legal marijuana cultivation facilities

On Tuesday, Selectman Osler "Pete" Peterson's posted on his personal blog that an attorney has notified town officials "about their clients’ plans to open a marijuana cultivation facility at 99 West Street."

Peterson included the following excerpt from the attorney’s email to the town:

“As of now their plan is to put a cultivation center only at that location...There would be no signage and the outside of the building would look almost identical to its existing face.  Our clients are well funded Mass. residents that run multi-million dollar private equity firms.”

According to town records, the building is owned by "99 West Street LLC" which has a mailing address of 1420 Main Street, Millis. The Millis property is occupied by CJP & Sons Construction and J.P. Leasing.
