Medfield Gas Price Tracker: Jan. 3

A weekly look at gas prices in the Medfield area.

Editor's note: "At the Pump" is a weekly feature on Medfield Patch where you'll find a weekly roundup of gas prices in town. Specifically, the focus will be on how prices are changing from week to week, what prices are available, and how they compare to the local, state, and national averages. 

This week, the average price for regular unleaded gas in the Boston area on Monday was $3.29 per gallon, up two cents from last week, according to BostonGasPrices.com, which also listed the state average as $3.29 per gallon, up three cents from a week ago. The national average on Monday was $3.26 per gallon, four cents higher than this time last week.

In Medfield, the Irving station on Spring Street (Route 27) and Cumberland Farms on the corner of Main and Spring Streets are the places to go this week for the cheapest gas, pricing regular unleaded fuel at $3.19 per gallon. The most expensive gas in town this week is at the Sunoco station on Main Street, near the and the Mobil station on North Street, selling regular unleaded fuel at $3.29 per gallon.
